Visitors' Books

Wonderful moments live on in the words your guests and visitors note down in your book. Here you can find a couple of large sized books ideal for galleries, and also medium sized books for all of you who love inviting friends for a fine dinner. The covers of these books have been made from very special fabric, ie. silk-brocade and the like, or they have been individually printed directly from the block. 

If you prefer a smaller sized book for your guests, you can use the diaries, aphorism books and collectingbooks as well.

All books have been sewn with linen thread on a sewing frame by hand. Bookblock and cover have been handmade in my own studio.

Visitors' Book "Pompej"

The size of this one-off is 31x34cm. Italian deckle edge paper has been used for the bookblock with 144 pages, the paper is a very faint shade of yellow, front edge with deckle edge. Endpaper in brickred, ribbon page marker darkgreen.

The cover for this unique book has been made from cutwork fabric handmade in India. There are 272 pages of structured deckle-edge paper and a ribbon page marker. The book's size is 39x28 cm.

Visitors' Book 'Leaves & Ferns'

Th fabric used as cover material is a padded viscose fabric with a decently lustrous surface. The 252 pages are made from white watermarked paper. The ook has a ribbon page marker and a One-off. Size of 35x33 cm. Euro 185,-

Hanging Visitors' Book

The book can be used either portrait or landscape format. It can be hung up with a strong black cord. Its cover has been printed red and black directly from the wood block. There are 204 white pages. Size 16x33 cm.

Visitors' Book 'African Handbatik-Damask'

Lustrous damask has been used to create this African Batik. The bookblock consists of 144 pages of deckle-edge paper with the deckle-edge being kept on the foredge of the book. With ribbon page marker. Size 37x33 cm.

Visitors' Book 'Space and Art'

This one-off was a comissioned work specially designed for exhibitions sponsered by an estate agent. The covers have been printed from the linoleum block. The design on the front is the agent's signet, resembling 'space' whereas ...

... the back shows the Chinese character meaning 'art'.

The book's size is approx. 35x33 cm, there are 216 pages, endpapers are bright red.

Visitors' Book 'Europe? Us! Artist Throwing the Bridge'

Made specially for an exhibition in an European context. The front has been printed from the block, the motif is that used fpr the projects poster. Attached to the book were a yellow and a blue ribbon page marker - the European colours.

The book is a quite pleasant square of approx. 22x22 cm. Its 204 pages have been made from weiá slightly structured paper. It comes with a ribbon page marker and its cover has been handprinted from the wood block.
